How to Style Your Throw Pillows

In most of the world, winter means snow, or at least cooler temperatures throughout the day. We grab a good book, a sketch pad, or maybe a board game and gather together by a warm fire. It’s also a great time to freshen up your pillows to add a style of warmth and coziness.

Here is our Pillow Styling Tips:

1. START WITH LARGER SIZED PILLOWS

We started with layering sizes for this sectional sofa. First, we placed three large 22” square pillows, one in each corner and one in the middle.

2. COLORS

Our pillows carry warm colors that are inspired by our winter woods, antiques in the room, and our beautiful hardwood floors. Such as golden oak, walnut brown, and dark cocoa.

3.TEXTURES & PATTERNS

Textures of velvet, woven fabrics in herringbone, basketweave, embroidery tapes, and braided trims all add dimensions, as well as comforting aesthetics. We also mixed playful patterns of organic wovens with structured, modern shapes.

4. ADD SMALLER SIZED PILLOWS

Next, we layered in smaller sizes of pillows for comfort options and functionality. Even adding a throw to your sofa or chair creates a soft element for others to enjoy.
